Needs Assessment Surveys Now Available
Surveys are available for a regional initiative to assess the needs of educational systems across the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES region.
E2CCB has partnered with the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, numerous regional organizations, and 27 component school districts to collect as many thoughts, opinions, and solutions as possible to ensure the needs of all K-12 students in the region are being addressed.
Specific surveys for students, school staff, and parents or caregivers are available for individuals to complete at e2ccb.org/needs through June 30. School alumni and parents of school alumni are also encouraged to participate.
The surveys, which can be completed anonymously, target five areas:
¯ Social/Emotional Well-Being & Mental Health
¯ Program Alignment Between Districts & E2CCB
¯ Career/Educational Pathways for Life Beyond High School
¯ Equity & Inclusion
¯ Technology, Tools & Resources for Students
The surveys are a part of a comprehensive needs assessment being performed across the region that has received $290,000 in grant funding from local organizations. Participation, while voluntary, is crucial to help districts and the regional BOCES understand how it can help students reach their full potential.
Parent and student surveys are estimated to take participants approximately 10 minutes. Results will be combined with the results of other participants at their school and district and used to create records about the climate of their school. These reports will not identify any person or their responses. Results will be compiled, analyzed, published, and shared at the completion of the project to provide both a big picture of our K-12 system and individual results for each district. Participation is critical to gathering useful and meaningful data.
