City Bar Association Rates Appellate Judge ‘Outstanding’

The Jamestown Bar Association has rated Tracey A. Bannister as outstanding as Bannister seeks re-election to the Fourth Department Appellate Division.
Kristin M. Lee Yaw, president of the Jamestown Bar Association, made the announcement after the Jamestown Bar Association Judicial Rating Committee rated Bannister “outstanding,” the highest rating available for a judicial candidate. The Bar Association’s Committee reviewed her qualifications in detail and conducted a full interview with Bannister.
Bannister has worked as an attorney with private law firms, was law clerk to Supreme Court and Appellate Division Justice Jerome Gorski, was Kenmore Village Justice, was elected as a Justice of the New York Supreme Court in 2008 and is sitting as a Justice of the Appellate Division of the Fourth Department starting in 2019.
Bannister is a graduate of Rutgers University and the State University at Buffalo Law School. She has been recognized by the New York State Trial Lawyers Association as “jurist of the year” and received the Sandy J. Kulick Award for Lawyers Helping Lawyers.
