Two city residents are facing burglary charges after reportedly breaking into a building early Thursday.

Jamestown police announced the arrests of 28-year-old Steven M. Becker and 34-year-old Erik V. Morrison after receiving a call around 4:30 a.m. that two men were breaking into a Cherry Street location. Someone inside a neighboring business spotted the pair with garbage bags and called 911.

Becker and Morrison were located inside the property when officers arrived. The city residents reportedly attempted to flee west on Second Street but were taken into custody.

Becker and Morrison were transported to Jamestown City Jail and later arraigned in court on charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and obstructing governmental administration.
