Cleo Is NCCR Dog Of The Week
The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Miss Cleo, who might not be psychic but sure knows where the treats are. She’s a very treat-motivated dog, and she’s been working with a professional trainer to not jump and take them out of your hands. She just gets so excited for food. Cleo has been DNA tested and is 50/50 basset hound and German shepherd weighing only 40 pounds. She likes everyone, but she might like cats a bit more than she should. She’s improved a lot since she has seen the trainer; she loves to play fetch and just enjoys being with people as much as possible. The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. Many of the dogs can by seen online at www.caninerescue.org as well as applications for each dog.
