‘West Side Story’ and ‘Julia’ will be screened at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts.

West Side Story (Saturday at 8 p.m.) tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City. The reimagining of the beloved musical stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Josh Andres Rivera (Chino); with Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works); and introducing Rachel Zegler (Maria.) Directed by Steven Spielberg, West Side Story is rated PG-13 and is 156 minutes long.

Julia (screening Wednesday at 7 p.m.) brings to life the legendary cookbook author and television superstar who changed the way Americans think about food, television, and even about women. Using never-before-seen archival footage, personal photos, first-person narratives, and cutting-edge, mouth-watering food cinematography, the film traces Julia Child’s 12-year struggle to create and publish the revolutionary Mastering the Art of French Cooking (1961) which has sold more than 2.5 million copies to date, and her rapid ascent to become the country’s most unlikely television star. It’s the empowering story of a woman who found her purpose – and her fame – at 50, and took America along on the whole delicious journey. Julia is rated PG-13 and is 95 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include: Zachary Levi as NFL quarterback Kurt Warner in American Underdog on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m.
