Comedy Center, Jazz Museum Take Part In Friendly Wager

2 min read

It's Jazz vs. Comedy this weekend as the National Comedy Center and the American Jazz Museum, Kansas City's cultural institution devoted to preserving and exhibiting jazz music and culture, engage each other in a friendly wager between two original American art forms, as Western New York's Buffalo Bills take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional playoffs this Sunday in Kansas City.

Based on the outcome of the AFC divisional playoffs this Sunday, the museum located in the region that loses the game will provide free admission tickets for up to 100 residents of the winning region in 2022. So if the Chiefs win, Kansas City residents can enjoy the National Comedy Center for free, and if the Bills win, Western New York residents can enjoy the American Jazz Museum for free.

In addition, the wager will play out on social media in the days following the playoff game, with the National Comedy Center committing to posting stand-up comedy on social media about Buffalo and the Buffalo Bills if they lose, and the American Jazz Museum committing to its executive director singing a jazz-style version of the Bills' fight song version of "Shout!"

Plus, staff of the winning museum will be treated to other region's most beloved dining delicacy -- Buffalo wings for the American Jazz Museum staff or Kansas City BBQ for the National Comedy Center staff.
