Reg Lenna To Show ‘Dear Evan Hansen’

The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will show “Dear Evan Hansen” at 7 p.m. today.

In Dear Evan Hansen, Ben Platt, a Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner, reprises his role as an anxious, isolated high schooler aching for understanding and belonging amid the chaos and cruelty of the social-media age. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Wonder), the film is written for the screen by the show’s Tony winner Steven Levenson with music and lyrics by the show’s Oscar, Grammy and Tony-winning songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman). Dear Evan Hansen is rated PG-13 and is 137 minutes long.

Upcoming screenings include The Sopranos movie prequel, The Many Saints of Newark on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. and a special engagement of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Oct. 29 at 10 p.m.Tickets to Movies at The Reg are $7, with an additional $1 theater restoration fee added.

They may be purchased from noon to 5 p.m. Monday and Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, by calling 484-7070 and online at reglenna.com. Special engagements are priced differently than Movies at The Reg. Masks are recommended for all patrons regardless of vaccination status.
