The man, Tom Sharkey, reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a home south of Fort Myers in Florida. He had been sought for the death of his wife, Alexis Sharkey, in November of last year.

The body of Alexis Sharkey was found about 3 miles from her apartment near Houston. According to the Associated Press, she was last seen alive the night of Nov. 27.

The Youngsville native garnered a sizeable Instagram following by showing off beauty products. She identified herself as a “mentor” for Monat, a marketing company that sells hair and skincare products.

According to WINK-TV in Houston, U.S. Marshals with the Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force went to the home of Tom Sharkey on Tuesday of this week. He was wanted for his wife’s murder and was staying with his daughter in Fort Myers.

WINK reported that law enforcement officials knocked on the door of the residence. Tom Sharkey was then found dead inside.
