Stillwater and Old will be shown this week at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.

Stillwater, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, follows an American oil-rig roughneck from Oklahoma (Matt Damon) who travels to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter, in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit. Confronted with language barriers, cultural differences, and a complicated legal system, Bill builds a new life for himself in France as he makes it his personal mission to exonerate his daughter. The film is directed by Tom McCarthy (Spotlight.) Stillwater is rated R and is 130 minutes long.

Visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan’s Old, which will be shown at 8 p.m. Saturday, is a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly, reducing their entire lives into a single day. Old is rated PG-13 and is 118 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin in Respect on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m., Adam Driver in the musical drama Annette on Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. and The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Oct. 29 at 10 p.m.
