Moonlight Paddles Across the Lake is set for Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Cassadaga.

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Lakes Association, along with the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and Evergreen Outfitters, is sponsoring the third annual Moonlight Paddles Across the Lakes Saturday at the Cassadaga Beach.

Participants are to meet with their kayaks at the Beach on Park Avenue in the village of Cassadaga at 6:30 p.m. This is the last beach event in what has been a successful beach season that has featured swimming, concerts and triathlons sponsored by Wilson Endurance Sports.

The first moonlight paddle event was held in 2019 and was rousing success with kayaks taking a leisurely paddle from the beach to the DEC launch and back.

Life jackets (PFD’s) and kayak lights are mandatory. Kayaks can be rented in advance by contacting Evergreen Outfitters at 763-2266. Boaters are invited to bring food and refreshments.
