Camp Gross Golf Tourney Returns To Cassadaga Country Club On Sept. 25

CASSADAGA — After a year without a fundraising campaign, a golf tournament or campers, Camp Gross is looking to “get back in the game!”

The third annual, recently renamed, “Dr. John R. & Alona Forbes Memorial Golf Tournament” will be held Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Cassadaga Country Club. Alona Forbes passed away during the past year and she was a very generous supporter of Camp Gross. The 9-hole, two-person scramble will begin at 10 a.m. Members and guests are welcome to sign up at CCC at 595-3003. Members are $50/person, guests $60/person (these prices include skins.)

New sponsorship levels are available this year:

¯ Friend sponsor-signage with name/logo on cart path: new $100, returning $75.

¯ Lunch sponsor-Friend sponsor and lunch recognition and club House sign $200.

¯ Players Sponsor-Signage on Tee, Lunch Sponsor complimentary registration for team members and recognition in press/social releases $350.

¯ Event Sponsor- Players Sponsor and logo on welcome banner for 2021 tournament $500. Sign deadline is September 15, please send to Marti Webster, 70 Leming St, Dunkirk, 14048.

There are currently three event sponsors: The Forbes Family, Legend Excavating, and Lakeside Precision. Also available this year at the tournament will be representatives from Dixon Golf with opportunities for players to win merchandise from their company.

Fredonia Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram will once again provide the hole-in-one prize for #8.

Camp Gross is also still accepting brick purchases for the flag pole area. These are $50 each and can be engraved to honor or memorialize an individual or an organization.

Camp Gross Foundation is a 501 (c)3 Corporation whose mission is to provide the youth of Chautauqua County and Western New York with an excellent, safe, handicapped accessible, up-to-date camping facility open year round. For more information/reservations call Ranger Tim at 595-2171.
