The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Charlotte, who is in need of a loving home where she can be spoiled rotten for the rest of her life. Charlotte is a Shar-Pei, guessed to be perhaps 6 years old, and while her history is not known, she looks like she’s had a hard life and there is a good chance she was just used as a breeding female to sell puppies. She seems pretty housebroken, is OK with some other dogs, is friendly to everyone and just in need of a place to take it easy and enjoy the good life that she deserves. The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, and is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday or by appointment.
