The Creche Sewing Committee teamed up for the Lenten Sewing Project to create blankets for the UPMC maternity department. In total, 120 blankets were given to UPMC and Creche continues to collect more. In addition to the 120 blankets, 15 knitted blankets were donated to “Joey’s Journey” for use in bereavement boxes. The boxes are given to families at UPMC that have experienced the loss of a child. The Emergency Department also received pediatric gowns and fleece comfort blankets.
