Reg Continues To Show Best Picture Movie Nominees

The last of the Best Picture nominees at this year’s Academy Awards will show at Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 screens Friday at 7 p.m. The film is nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Best Actor nominee Sacha Baron Cohen stars in The Trial of the Chicago 7. The film follows the courtroom drama surrounding activist Abby Hoffman and his fellow defendants as they are tried for conspiring and crossing state lines to incite the riots of the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The Trial of the Chicago 7 is rated R and is 130 minutes long. It was nominated for 6 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts will screen more Academy Award winners including: Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom on May 12 at 7 p.m. and Another Round on May 14 at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the movies are $7 per patron. Each patron will also be charged a $1 fee for additional cleaning of the theater due to COVID-19.

Seating is limited due to social distancing mandates. Masks are required of all patrons. All tickets must be purchased ahead of time.

Additionally, temperature checks, contactless concession sales and social distancing markers will be in place at the theater. All patrons will be shown to socially distanced seats by ushers. All surfaces in the theater will be cleaned between movie showings. New, compliant air filters have been installed in the theater.
