County Antique Tractor Event Plows Forward Saturday

The annual plow day begins at 8 a.m. Saturday with spectators welcome.

STOCKTON–The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its annual plow day Saturday beginning about 8 a.m. at Route 380 and Pierson Road. Antique tractors and plows will be demonstrating plowing in the surrounding fields. The event will continue throughout the morning and afternoon, until the fields are plowed.

At last year’s event, six antique tractors utilized plows with two to five bottoms (blades).

Members of the association are invited to participate in plowing and members of the community are welcome to view this event. Spectators may stay in their vehicles and pull off the side of the road. If spectators exit their vehicles, we are asking them to follow social distancing guidelines.

“The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association is hoping to have yet another year of a soil-turning fun and would like to thank Mis-Fit Farms for allowing us to plow their fields for this demonstration!” the organization announced in a news release this week.
