Audubon Shirt Sale Supports Summer Day Camps

Area residents can celebrate Earth Day and support the Audubon Community Nature Center by ordering a t-shirt through Thursday, May 13.

The design, created by Kimberly Turner, a local artist and Audubon staff member, is available only this year. Turner also designed the 2020 Audubon fundraiser shirt and the Day Camp and Wild 5K shirts for the past five years. View her work and style at KimberlyTurnerArt.com.

All t-shirt sale proceeds support ACNC’s 2021 Summer Day Camp Program.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Audubon provided a safe day camp experience for more than 250 children in 2020. Another summer filled with children exploring the woods, building forts, and taking adventures to explore local natural wonders is planned again. The Earth Day T-Shirt fundraiser ensures that Audubon can purchase the necessary materials to make this summer’s program possible.

T-shirts purchased through Audubon’s sale will be printed by Tenfold Recycled Clothing. New to the Jamestown area, Tenfold offers a variety of products including t-shirts made 100% from plastic bottles (Tenfold.Clothing). Audubon t-shirts are 100% cotton.

Prices are $15 for youth sizes (S, M, L, XL), $20 for adult and ladies’ t-shirts (S, M, L, XL) and an additional $5 for sizes XXL and XXXL.

All orders must be placed online by Thursday, May 13. Once orders are in, they will then be printed and distributed. Shirts will be available for pick-up at the nature center on Friday and Saturday, May 28 and 29, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Orders can be shipped for an additional $5 per item.

For all the details and to place your order, go to AudubonCNC.org and click through Upcoming Programs. For assistance with ordering, call the nature center at 569-2345.

The Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren. The Nature Center building includes the Blue Heron Gift Shop, live animals, and the winning photographs from the 2020 Nature Photography Contest. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is by donation only.
