Southwestern Middle School officials recently announced the school’s Students of the Month for January. They are:

Thomas Chase, sixth grade and the son of Brian and Kimberly Chase of Jamestown. His favorite subjects are math and social studies. Chase belongs to Southwestern Orchestra. He is planning on joining Ski Club when it resumes next year. When Chase is not in school, he likes to listen to music, read and hang out with friends.

Gavin Anderson, seventh grade and the son of Chris and Amy Anderson of Lakewood. His favorite subject is science. Gavin plays on the Southwestern baseball and cross-country teams. He also belongs to Southwestern Choir and Band. Outside of school, he likes to hit baseballs in the garage, run and he plays on Gladiator Baseball.

Gelia Saullo, eighth grade and the daughter of James Saullo of Lakewood and Sarah Saullo of Jamestown. Her favorite subjects are social studies and science. Gelia is a member of Southwestern Quiz Bowl, Junior Honor Society and Student Council. Outside of school, she takes dance, hangs out with friends and likes to relax at home.
