Fraternity Supports City Club

Although their reunion picnic was canceled this past summer, members of Jamestown High School’s Chi Sigma Chi Fraternity can still celebrate their ability to support the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown.

For 10 years, The Chi Sigma Chi Remembrance Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation has granted dollars to the Boys and Girls Club for youth related activities. According to Jeff Kroon, executive director, grants have been used for youth development programs, scholarships, and to offset program fees for members.

In total, more than $5,000 has been awarded from this fund to make a direct impact on the lives of youth members at the Club.

“Years ago, the Chi Sigma Chi Fraternity was so important to the development of its members, we felt that today’s youth should be given the same developmental, social and leadership opportunities,” members of the fraternity wrote.
