Cassadaga Begins New Village Website

CASSADAGA — As the village continues to see an increase in tourism, it needed a place to advertise themselves. And now, they have one.

The website — cassadagalakesny.com — has been created to promote Cassadaga’s hospitality industry and economic development opportunities. The site acts as a social media portal to introduce visitors and residents to what the Cassadaga Lakes have to offer.

“As part of the updating of the village’s five-year comprehensive plan it became apparent that Cassadaga was lacking its own distinct brand platform to market its unique assets to the outside world, drawing in tourists to want to visit, spend money, grow its economy, and look to relocate,” said Cassadaga Mayor William Dorman. “Our community continues to change and grow daily as a seasonal destination. There is a lot more to Cassadaga than driving through on Main Street. The new website brings it all to life.”

The portal unites the three primary organizations vital to Cassadaga’s success through one primary search engine. The partner sites, which include the Village of Cassadaga (cassadaganewyork.org), Cassadaga Lakes Association (cassadagalakesassociation.com) and Citizens for Better Cassadaga (cbcassadaga.org) feature a Things to Do navigation, as well as a Frequently Asked Questions page and an Invest Opportunities page. The website ensures that every interaction is beneficial and relevant.

Cassadagalakesny.com has been developed together with Kim Collins, Blue Tomato Design, Tonia Wilson, Wilson Endurance Sports, Susan Asquith, ASQ Communications and Roxanne Astry, Village Clerk, Village of Cassadaga. Expenses to launch and host the new site are being funded through sponsorship sales. All time to design and produce the site was donated.

As part of the launch, the new website will be supported by corresponding Facebook and Instagram accounts. New and fresh content is key to keeping the site and social media accounts lively and interesting.

Information about new events, services, and potential sponsor businesses are all welcome. Village residents are encouraged to provide local photography to build up an inventory of imagery to refresh the site with new faces and seasonal activity.

Questions about the new site can be directed to info@cassadagalakesny.com.
