The First Lutheran Community Outreach Store with Debi Brandi, store manager, recently presented a check for $1,500 at the first drive-up, drop-off Toys for Tots contribution site at the Foote Avenue Plaza for the upcoming 2020 Christmas season.

Also representing First Lutheran Church were Jane Young, church council member and The Resource Center staff, along with Brian A. Bogey, minister of music. This is a ministry of the Mission, Support and Outreach Committee of the local congregation.

Heather C. Brown, assistant executive director of program operations; and Terri Johnson, director of employment and community based services; and Patrick Smeraldo, independent service coordinator with Chautauqua Connections Inc. are the coordinators of the Marine Toys for Tots 20th year campaign sponsored by The Resource Center.

The money will go toward the purchase to ensure that children in all age groups receive a Christmas gift. Last year, 3,289 children were supported with 5,033 toys distributed for Christmas.

The Resource Center will host a drive-up, drop-off contribution at Chautauqua Mall on Nov. 28.
