Officers And Good Samaritans Help Lift Vehicle Off Man
FALCONER — Officers with the Ellicott Police Department, along with several Good Samaritans, helped lift a vehicle that had fallen on top of a man Thursday afternoon.
Police and Falconer volunteer firefighters were summoned to the 200 block of East Elmwood Avenue around 6:20 p.m. County dispatch received word of a vehicle on top of a person in a driveway.
The man told police he was attempting to lift the vehicle with a jack when the jack failed, trapping him underneath.
Officers Michael Anderson, Daniel Cotter and Sgt. Daniel Ingrao, along with some nearby Good Samaritans, were able to lift the vehicle off the man, who was then pulled out by first responders.
The man was evaluated at the scene by EMS personnel.
