National Comedy Center Announces Halloween Events Starting Thursday
Despite COVID challenges and restrictions, Halloween isn’t canceled this year as the National Comedy Center hosts four days of Halloween fun, providing a safe, worry-free and touch-free opportunity for families to celebrate the holiday within its expansive, 37,000 square-foot venue. The National Comedy Center’s “Halloween Boo Ha! Ha!” –Thursday to Sunday — will feature a Halloween-themed museum experience for parents looking for a fun and safe alternative to door-to-door trick or treating this year. Kids and Youth up to age 17 will be admitted for free with a paying adult as the Comedy Center welcomes families and kids of all ages to don their Halloween costumes and visit for fun and candy any time over these four days while enjoying the Center’s immersive exhibits, personalized comedy and a Halloween scavenger hunt in a secure, socially-distanced fashion.
Prizes for best and funniest costumes will be awarded daily, with a grand prizes of a National Comedy Center family membership for the best costumes over the four days of the Halloween celebration. Halloween chocolate will be distributed as kids enjoy a visitor experience that USA Today named the “Best New Museum” in the country earlier this year, Western New York Family Magazine called “a must-see destination… recommended for school-age children and up” and I LOVE NY named one of the best family-friendly indoor activities in New York State.
Up to four kids and youth will be permitted with one paying adult for the National Comedy Center’s “Halloween Boo Ha! Ha!” days, with a discount available for Chautauqua County residents ($19.50 per adult). Tickets should be reserved in advance at ComedyCenter.org/Halloween or by calling 716-484-2222. Due to limited capacity to ensure social distancing, advanced online reservations are strongly recommended to ensure entry. The National Comedy Center gift shop will be offering a 20% discount throughout the store during these Halloween days as well.
The National Comedy Center’s award-winning LaughSafe health and safety program, developed in consultation with health professionals at UPMC, will keep everyone in the family laughing safely and worry-free as they interact with wide range of activities from taking part in a Halloween scavenger hunt to exploring comedy props on the Prop Stars tables, drawing their own cartoons, making their own memes and facing off against friends and family members in “Laugh Battle.” Jerry Seinfeld’s beloved Halloween stand-up routine is just one of the many popular comedy routines that can be performed by kids and adults in the Comedy Karaoke Lounge.
