Cooper Is Named NCCR Dog Of The Week

The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Copper, a big, goofy hound who been at the shelter for more than a year. He arrived as a stray with no manners at all, but soon became a shelter favorite. Now he even has a special trainer who is working with him on learning basic skills. He has learned to walk well on his leash and keeps a neat kennel. Anyone interested in Copper can come join in on his training sessions. He would do best in a home with no children, cats or small animals, but he is good with other big dogs. The shelter is open by appointment only. The dogs are listed online at www.caninerescue.org. Anyone interested in adoption is asked to fill out the online application; upon approval an appointment will be set up to visit. Masks are required. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, and can be reached at 326-7297. There are many dogs waiting for loving homes.
