NCCR Dog Of The Week Is Madison Rose

The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Madison Rose, who arrived at the shelter due to her not getting along with a neighbor’s small dog. She is a 5-year-old spayed female who is possibly a mountain cur mix. Maddie is a very smart dog who would do best in a home that can keep her active mentally and physically. She walks pretty well on a leash, seems house trained, and might do best with a fenced yard and definitely no other small pets since due to her breed she will chase animals. Maddie is a friendly girl who seems to like all the people she has met so far! The rescue is open by appointment only to approved applicants. Submitting an application does not commit anyone to adopting, but gives the volunteers a chance to check vet references, etc. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, the phone number is 326-7297 and the website at www.caninerescue.org shows many of the available dogs as well as lots of other information.
