With Grant, Center Acquires New Truck
Late into the winter month of February, the St. Susan Center had everything in place to purchase a new box truck with a $30,000 grant from the Cummins Foundation and a $16,000 grant from the Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation, of which, $10.000 was allocated towards the box truck.
With support from the Shults Auto Group, things were in motion until the COVID-19 pandemic put everything on hold.
“With patience and a lot of prayer, we were finally able to make the purchase and get our new vehicle on the road to pick up local donations. Chautauqua Signs did an amazing job adding a special touch to the detailing.” said Bonny Scott-Sleight, St. Susan Center executive director. “We would also like to express a special thank you to Community Helping Hands for making our work at the center in these unprecedented time a little easier by lending their truck each week to assist our needs.”
