Bowling Tourney Raises Money For Hospice

Even though the 15th annual VFW Post 8647 Don’t Know Your Partner bowling tournament was cancelled, $2,600 was still raised for Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care through lane sponsorships and Chinese auction submissions.

“I would like to thank everyone who supported the 15th annual bowling tournament this past spring,” Shannon Larson, event chairperson, said in a news release. “Plans were well underway when the event was forced to be cancelled due to COVID-19. I know we were all disappointed. Hopefully we will be still able to sponsor this annual event in the future. I would like to thank all those who had already donated lane sponsorships and items for the Chinese auction. $2,600 was donated to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. ”
