Viking Temple Corporation Releases Annual Report

The Viking Temple Corporation, the committee of Viking Ingjald Lodge of Jamestown charged with the responsibility of maintaining and improving the Viking Lake Park in Maple Springs, presented its required annual report at a lodge meeting.

Chris Bernhardt, president of the Temple Corporation, reviewed the committee’s activities for the past year and spoke of its goals for the ensuing year. In his report, Bernhardt told of new equipment that had been purchased, including a tractor leaf blower, snowplow equipment, heaters for renovated pavilion, new front doors, new screens and exit lights and drainage improvement.

The removal of dead trees is done on a regular needed basis as is the sealing of the large parking lot. Bernhardt explained the request of National Grid for an increased land easement.

He further talked about some of their goals for next year that include adding parking lot lights, more tree removal, power lines improvement and general maintenance.

Those in attendance at the regular lodge meeting thanked members of the Temple Corporation for the impressive work they did last year and their goals for the year.
