MAYVILLE — Thirty-nine members of the Mayville Senior Citizens braved the winter weather to attend the meeting Jan. 16. Two new members were welcomed.

Door prizes were won by Wanda Gustafson, Jeff Wagner and Fran Miller. The lottery drawing for $5 was won by newcomer Mary J. MacCallam.

Bonnie Johnson was sworn in as the vice p[resident and Fran Miller was sworn in as the alternative secretary for the year.

President Loomis reminded members to sign up for the soup and sandwich dinner on Feb. 20 or bring a dish to pass that goes with soup and sandwiches. The treasurer is still collecting $5 dues for the year.

Members enjoyed entertainment provided by band members Bob Henry, Randy Henderson and Bob MacCallam with their playing musical instruments and singing. Pat Cook was able to join in as well.

The next meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, at the VFW in Mayville. K-9 Officer Jason Beichner will be the speaker. He will be bringing his K-9 partner, Drake.
