JCC Grad To Lead State Nurse Practitioner Association

David Goede

A Jamestown Community College graduate has been elected to lead the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State.

Dr. David Goede will lead the association, which represents more than 14,000 actively practicing nurse practitioners across the state.

Goede has been in the nursing profession since 1985 and is lead manager of Advance Practice Providers for the Cardiovascular Service Line at the University of Rochester Medical Center and assistant professor of clinical nursing at the University of Rochester School of Nursing.

A board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Goede obtained his associate degree from Jamestown Community College and Bachelor of Nursing from University of Buffalo.

He received his Masters of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing in 1994 and his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2013, both from the University of Rochester School of Nursing.

“Each nurse practitioner should be able to practice to the fullest extent of their license,” Goede said.

“I am passionate and excited to represent and promote the NP profession at the regional, state and national levels.”
