Bromley Hosts Fall Gathering For International Exchange Students

Melissa Bromley, a volunteer area representative, with the Pan Atlantic Foundation, recently hosted a fall gathering at the Homestead Stables in Gerry for international exchange students and their families.

Bromley has had a total of 10 students representing Germany, Italy, Spain and South Korea under her direct supervision, since July. Bromley, a Jamestown resident, is also the host mother of a Ember, 15, from South Korea. Ember is attending Jamestown High School. The experience has also meant Bromley’s daughter Ava, an only child, has experienced having a sister.

Host families, in attendance, were from various parts of Western New York and Eastern Pennsylvania. Some traveled a few hours to build connections with others in the program.

All who attended had food and fellowship and then students and families had an opportunity to ride horses, some for the first time. Afterward, students and their host siblings made patriotic American Flag tie-dye shirts and took family photos displaying their flags.

Bromley is an employee of Heritage Ministries.
