Students Gather For Leaders’ Day Event
About 45 students and 18 adult advisors from nine local schools gathered for a training event on Nov. 3 called Leaders’ Day, held at the Hillcrest Youth Center and hosted by Impact Campus Fellowship.
Impact is a student-led network of Christian Clubs that meet in dozens of schools throughout the area. A student-led band started the evening by leading the group in singing.
Students then heard and discussed powerful messages about leadership. They focused on vision-casting, service, self-care and then down to the nuts and bolts of how to actually lead Impact meetings in their schools.
All who came received an Impact shirt, lots of food and a devotional book. The students had a great time meeting each other, learning and praying for each other. Their hope and prayer is to growing as leaders who can make the world a better place.
The students thanked the Karl Peterson Fund of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation who co-sponsored this event.
