JHS Students Tour Edinboro University

Pictured is a group of Jamestown High School students who recently visited Edinboro University for a tour and visit of the college’s art studio.
Jamestown High School students recently visited Edinboro University with teachers Stephanie Baker and Brandy Fuller.
They took a tour, visited a college art studio, and attended art demonstrations and workshops.
“They loved the hands-on activities, being in an actual college studio, meeting college art students and professors, and seeing a campus in action,” Mrs. Baker said. “Because of this field trip, some of our students are looking into coming to the Edinboro University open house and possibly even attending the university next year!”
Before the field trip, students each selected a demonstration and workshop to attend. When they arrived at the campus, each student received a care package that included an Edinboro University drawstring bag filled with goodies. The students broke off into their classes attending 30-minute demonstrations in animation, metalpoint, ceramics, illustration and studio photography. The students also attended 90-minute workshops in animation, figure drawing, metalsmithing, digital painting, ceramics, forensic illustration and wooden spoon creation.
