A Dickens Holiday to Take Place Nov. 22-24

WESTFIELD — Christmas in the village of Westfield — A Dickens Holiday 2019, will take place Nov. 22-24.
The three-day family event marks the beginning of the holiday season in Westfield. and includes Santa’s arrival, horse-drawn carriage rides through the village, the Hall of Christmas, Victorian tea, Dickens carolers, instrumental music, the Hall of Trees, shops and restaurants offering specials.
Last year saw the beginning of the annual Hot Toddy Crawl where establishments in the village offered complimentary treats and beverages in keeping with the Dickens tradition. Also added was a Parade of Light, which featured vehicles, floats and walkers all decked out with Christmas lights.
New this year “Celebrate Christmas” featuring dance and musical performances at the Center Stage Dance Studio on Main Street, Westfield, will be at 5 p.m. on Nov. 24. Lake Shore Center for the Arts will have a Christmas movie marathon Nov. 23-24 from 3 to 9 p.m. and a new exhibit, “Around the Town Revisited,” will be held in the Brenda Eno Art Gallery. The Patterson Library will host opportunities to meet Queen Victoria and Mrs. Claus. Following the Parade of Light at 5 p.m. Nov. 23, the public is invited to visit Center Stage Dance Studio for treats.
Once again the Westfield Women’s Organization is sponsoring its 31st Holly Tour. During the self-guided tour, guests will visit five homes and a church decorated for Christmas. The $10 ticket also entitles patrons to dessert and entertainment.

The weekend’s events are sponsored by the Village of Westfield, the Chautauqua County Historical Society (McClurg), the Patterson Library, Lake Shore Center for the Arts, Westfield Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Westfield Women’s Organization, and the Westfield YWCA.
