Japanese Students From Nagasaki University Visit JCC

Students and an accompanying professor from Nagasaki University, Japan are in residence at Jamestown Community College through September 21. While at JCC, the 12 visiting students are taking an intensive, non-credit English immersion course; visiting workplaces including Cummins Engine, Chautauqua Institution, the Chautauqua Center, and the Roger Tory Peterson Institute; presenting to students at Bush Elementary School, Fenner Elementary School, and Lincoln Elementary School; practicing conversation skills with JCC honors students; and auditing credit courses at JCC. Coordinated through JCC’s global learning office, the program is part of JCC’s efforts to enhance global perspectives for all students.
