Infinity Adds Two New Instructors

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts has added Jim Blomquist and Vince Liuzzo as new instructors.

Blomquist is instructing in sound, audio and digital recording and production while Liuzzo is offering private art lessons.

Born and raised in Jamestown, Blomquist began his musical career as a disc jockey playing at clubs and events throughout western New York and northern Pennsylvania. That led to an interest in the production and recording fields, primarily within the hip-hop and rhythm and blues genres. In 1998, he was hired as a tour DJ/musical support specialist and worked closely with various hip-hop and rhythm and blues recording artists from Interscope, Motown, Island/Def Jam and Sony Records. For the next four years, Blomquist toured in such locales as Germany, Africa, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, as well as many locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Blomquist is proficient with various digital audio workstations such Avid Pro Tools, Apple Logic, and most recently Ableton Live, which he uses for all current productions.

Liuzzo is a certified arborist and chainsaw carver. An active event partner and fundraiser, Liuzzo and company at Sherwood Arts have raised thousands of dollars for local charities and community organizations through events and chainsaw carving giveaways since 2017.

Liuzzo is a partner at Tactical Tree Solutions and uses the byproduct of trees removed to create one of a kind, made to order chainsaw carvings.

He incorporates his love of nature into subjects of his creations and enjoys working with various media including oil and acrylic, charcoal and incorporates fundamentals such as color theory, composition, figure and gesture, and 3D sculpture into his classes and lessons at Infinity.
