The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Mandy, a friendly, happy young spayed dog who is maybe around a year or so old. She is slender and weighs about 40 pounds. She has lots of energy as she is just getting out of puppyhood. She is guessed to be a mix of Lab and perhaps Mountain Cur, and she would do best with an active home. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, and is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday or by appointment by calling 326-PAWS.
