Church Sets Free Food Picnic

The Levant Wesleyan Church is having a free food picnic from 6-8 p.m. today. The public is welcome to attend. Guest speaker will be Jon Vogue from Impact, which is a student and teen organization.

Blood Pressure Clinic Is Saturday

The Professional Practice Council of nurses at UPMC Chautauqua is holding a free community blood pressure clinic on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farmers Market in Jamestown. No appointment is necessary to take part.

Class Of 1959 To Hold Reunion

The Jamestown High School class of 1959 will celebrate its 60th class reunion on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Moonbrook Country Club. The reunion event is from 6-7 p.m. social hour with cash bar followed by dinner and program and DJ. Friday get together will begin at 6 p.m. at the Herman Kent Post 777, 26 Jackson Ave., Jamestown. Children’s Events To Be Held

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library in Westfield will host several children’s events in the coming weeks. Ready, Set, Kindergarten will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19. At 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, the St. Bonaventure University Artmobile will visit the library to teach about the Aurora Borealis and give children between the ages of 5 and 12 an opportunity to paint the Northern Light landscapes. The Artmobile visit is free and open to the public.

Legion Riders To Hold Dice Run

The American Legion Riders will hold its second annual Dice Run on Saturday, Aug. 24. This year’s theme is “Bikes for Bridals” with proceeds going to the N.E.I.G.H program helping local veterans with equestrian therapy. Registration will be at Dunkirk Memorial Post 62 at 10 a.m., with kickstands up at noon. The run returns to the Frewsburg American Legion Post 556 for dinner. The event will be held rain or shine.

Busti Mill Open For Grinding Day

BUSTI — The Busti Mill will be open for the monthly grinding day Sunday. Recent improvements in the mill have included replacement of the bolting cloth and painting the front porch. Der Kobblers Car Club members are participating this month. Anyone with a car to exhibit is welcome. The event is free and open to the public from 1-4 p.m.

Fenton Library Open House Set

The Fenton History Center’s Research Library will hold an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Hall House on Forest Avenue. It is free and a chance to start family history research or get caught up on work that has already begun. For more information, call 664-6256.

Rummage Sale Set In S. Dayton

The South Dayton United Methodist Church, 34, Maple St., South Dayton, will host a rummage sale Friday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A bake sale will be held both days.
