National Comedy Center To Host ‘Teacher Days’

The National Comedy Center is inviting all Chautauqua County teachers, faculty and administrators — from elementary school through the college level — to visit the Comedy Center with free admission on “Teacher Days,” taking place today and Friday, July 12.

Along with free admission, guided tours will be available on both days at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., which will highlight educational opportunities within the National Comedy Center exhibit experience.

The free admission offer is only valid for current county teachers, faculty and administrators who will be asked to show their school ID upon arrival. No advance sign-up is necessary. A drink is also included.

Many local schools have already brought students to the National Comedy Center for educational field trips customized for grade level and areas of interest.

These field trips have been well received by faculty and students.

Jamestown High School has had several successful National Comedy Center field trips for the JHS Career Academies. JHS principal Mike McElrath recently commented on these field trips: “Many thanks to the National Comedy Center for their interest in partnering with the JHS Career Academies. While our students and staff were certainly very impressed with the facility, what really stuck out for them was the variety of career linkages available from business and technology, to the entertainment side of things. We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership.”
