Frankie from the Office for the Aging was there to sell tickets for the Senior Picnic at Midway Park in July. The kitchen committee was thanked by all the members. There will only be one meeting each month in July and August.

The next meeting is on July 18. The club is supplying subs for the members. The sign-up sheet for subs was posted at the last three meetings. Bring a dish that goes with a sub or pay $3 for those unable to bring a dish.

Door prizes were won by Joyce Ayres, Rex Wilson and Kathy Sukalac. The lottery was won by Judy Ottaway. After the meeting, program chairman Bill Tornstrom introduced Walter Pickut, contributing editor of the Jamestown Gazette. He explained the difference between the Free Gazette and a daily paper as well as the difference between a reporter and a journalist.
