Village Businesses To Hold Charity Drawing

SHERMAN — The Sherman Historical Society, the Ox and Rooster restaurant and the Sherman Inn on Main will host a benefit for the maintenance of the Yorker Museum in the village.

Tickets are now available for the Special Sherman Stay event that will take place throughout the summer.

The prize includes and overnight stay at Sherman’s Inn on Main, dinner at the Ox and Rooster and a guided tour of the Yorker Museum.

Participants can purchase tickets for $5.

A drawing for winners will take place during Sherman Days on Aug. 3.

The Yorker Museum is overseen by the Sherman Historical Society and contains numerous artifacts from the village and surrounding areas.

The displays are set in six buildings that were originally built in the 1750s.

The Museum is open from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday through the months of June, July and August.
