DAR Holds Monthly Meeting

Members of the Jamestown Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution held their annual meeting recently at the chapter house.

Regent Connie Pilato and Chaplin Martha Karapantso led members in the opening ritual. Committee members gave a brief report of activities for the year.

Carolyn Ruby was inducted as a new member of the chapter, while maintaining her Lois Fenton Society, Children of the American Revolution membership.

Guests attending the meeting included Ashley Senske, whose application to join had just been approved by the national society in Washington, D.C..

The next chapter meeting will be held Saturday, June 15, at 12:30 p.m. when Hugh Golden, general manager of the Lakeview Cemetery Association, will speak on historic and notable items about the cemetery.

Any woman 18 years and older who is descended from someone who served or gave aid to the American Revolution is eligible for membership. For more information on becoming a member, call 664-4144.
