The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Abby, a beautiful, lively, spayed border collie mix who is about 1 year old. She is fun, loves to play fetch, is very lively and enjoys all people. She will need a home where she can have a lot of exercise and some training would help her too mentally and physically. She is a working mix, so they are smart, like to be kept busy and are not low energy dogs. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, and is open Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. or by appointment by calling 326-PAWS. Many of the dogs can be seen online at www.caninerescue.org. The rescue will host its seventh annual Doggone Good Yard Sale July 26 and 27 at the shelter. The shelter will start taking items July 1, excluding books, televisions, computers, clothing and mattresses.
