The United Veterans Council of Jamestown Parade Committee is looking for participation in this year’s Memorial Day parade.

Invitations were mailed out to several organizations, schools and government officials to participate in the city’s annual Memorial Day parade and services.

The committee is now reaching out to any organizations or groups that would like to participate in this year’s parade that were possibly missed.

The United Veterans Council of Jamestown is encouraging the community to be involved by attending the parade and the Memorial Day services held at Soldiers Circle immediately following the parade.

On Monday, May 27, the parade line-up will be at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. start.

The parade will lead off on Fourth Street in Jamestown, will proceed left onto Prendergast Avenue and will end at Lakeview Cemetery.

Any organization or group that has not been contacted and would like to participate in the parade are asked to contact Melodie at 450-6768.
