Kibbe To Speak At Cemetery Services

Doug Kibbe

Pastor Doug Kibbe will be the guest speaker for Monday’s Memorial Day cemetery services.

Kibbe is a native son who grew up in Chautauqua County in the home of World War II veteran Art Kibbe (who still participates in Memorial Day services at the age of 89).

In 1981, Kibbe enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served as a Cryptologic Linguist for six years. He was taught Russian and Spanish, and trained to intercept the military communications of the Communists in Russia and Nicaragua. He received an honorable discharge from the Air Force as a staff sergeant in 1987 with a greater appreciation for our military veterans, and the rights and freedoms that Americans enjoy as a result of their sacrifices.

Doug currently serves as the lead pastor for Church on the Rock.

The VVA Chapter 865 Color Guard will be at the ceremony to render honors to the fallen Comrades. Also participating in the ceremony will be the VVA Chapter 865 Auxiliary, Veterans of Modern Warfare Chapter 20 Inc., John W. Tiffany Post No. 53 VFW and Auxiliary, Ira Lou Spring Post No. 149 American Legion and Auxiliary, Robert P. Illig Post No. 47 Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary, Memorial Post No. 726 AMVETS.
