Farmers And Artisans’ Market Opens Saturday

WESTFIELD — The 2019 season for the Westfield Farmers and Artisans’ Market opens Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In 2007, Sen. Catharine Young’s office sponsored a New York state grant to help with the start of the WFAM.

To help open this season, there will be local officials on hand to dedicate the 13th year of the market, that is held every Saturday in Moore Park.

David Brown will be Master of Ceremonies along with Mayor Michael VandeVelde, Town Supervisor Martha Bills, County Legislator John Hemmer, who will speak at noon.

The mission of the market is to promote local growers, agriculturally related products, and area artisans’ from the Westfield and surrounding area. The market will take place seasonally through Sept, 28th at Moore Park in the historical downtown village of Westfield.

The market will include fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry products, baked goods, coffee, craft beer and wine locally made at area breweries and wineries.

Live entertainment in the gazebo utilizing musicians from Chautauqua County will begin June 15.
