LAKEWOOD–The Democratic Committee of the village of Lakewood and town of Busti will hold a caucus for nominating candidates to stand for election to the following offices:

¯ Busti town supervisor (four-year term);

¯ Busti Town Clerk (four-year term);

¯ Busti Town Council (two positions; four-year terms);

¯ Busti Highway Superintendent (four-year term);

¯ Busti Town Justice (four-year term);

¯ Lakewood Village Mayor (four-year term); and

¯ Lakewood Village Trustee (two positions; four-year terms).

Nominees will appear on the ballot for the general election on Nov. 5.

The caucus meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at the Lakewood Village Hall, 20 W. Summit St., Lakewood. Arrival and sign-in begin at 6 p.m. The town caucus will begin at 6:30 p.m. The village caucus will begin at 7 p.m.

Residents of the village of Lakewood or town of Busti who are interested in seeking the Democratic nomination for these offices are welcome to attend. All duly enrolled members of the Democratic Party who reside in the village or town are eligible to participate and vote.
