‘Patterson After Dark’ Set May 4

WESTFIELD — Patterson Library’s Spring Fundraiser “Patterson After Dark” featuring intriguing cocktails, wistful wines, craft beer, playful appetizers and a Viennese table that will knock your socks off will be held on Saturday, May 4, from 6-9 p.m. at the Patterson Library.

This new event, previously known as “An Evening of Fine Taste” sponsored by the Patterson Society will accent an intimate pairing of exceptional hors d’oeuvres and desserts donated by Patterson Society members and local merchants, along with fine wine and craft beer donated by local concord grapes and hops belt partners.

Octagon Gallery artist John Merlino will be on hand to discuss his breathtaking art of the universe and native earth. A group of musicians from SUNY College at Fredonia’s School of Music will provide musical entertainment.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person and may be purchased by visiting the Patterson Library or through a Library Trustee. Tickets will include childcare in the children’s area. Several experienced sitters from Westfield Academy’s WAVE program, will provide the service, all supervised by youth staff, will provide childcare.

Children will be able to enjoy movies, games, reading, crafts and making new friends with their peers, all while enjoying healthy snacks provided by the library.

Patterson Library Director Tom Vitale says the event will “not only raise necessary funds to keep successful library programs and services in place, but it will also provide the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the Patterson Society in its 29th year of service to the library.”

The Patterson Society supports programs, collections, resources and services of Patterson Library through financial or volunteer memberships and fundraisers.
