Audubon Members Brunch Set For May 4

You can expect to see many of the people pictured here at Audubon Community Nature Center's Member Brunch on Saturday, May 4. If you want to be included but are not yet a member, you can take advantage of the new member discount through Tuesday, April 30.

There is still time to become a member of Audubon Community Nature Center for those who want to attend the center’s Members Brunch on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The special event for all Nature Center members celebrates the conclusion of the March-April More the Merrier New Member Drive. The winner of the new members raffle for a private behind-the-scenes visit with Liberty, Audubon’s resident Bald Eagle, will be announced at 10:30 at the event.

Those attending can attend early to see the bird banding that takes place, weather permitting, from 7 to 11 a.m. in the Nature Center pavilion at the west entrance.

Bird banding is part of Audubon’s annual efforts to track the local bird species who come through the area.

In addition to providing financial support, members receive free admission to the Nature Center building and discounts on educational programs, facilities rentals, the Day Camp program, birthday parties for children and at the Blue Heron Gift Shop.

New members who join by Tuesday, April 30, receive $5 off the price of their membership and are entered into the giveaway for the visit, with up to five others of their choice, with Audubon’s Bald Eagle.

For more information and to become a member, call 569-2345 during business hours or go online to AudubonCNC.org/Memberships.

Reservations for the brunch are appreciated by Thursday, May 2, by calling 569-2345 or by emailing Jennifer Schlick at JSchlick@auduboncnc.org.

The event is free for ACNC members, and walk-ins are also welcome.
