‘100 Days Of Birds’ Opens On Monday

Hannah Burnworth’s art show “100 Days of Birds” will open Monday at the 3rd on 3rd Gallery. The show is free and open to the public. It will run through May 25. “100 Days of Birds” exhibits a selection of Burnworth’s art. Over 100 consecutive days, she created a different bird from cut paper and stitched it together on her sewing machine. She researched each bird throughout this process. Burnworth is the artist behind Milk House Studio. Burnworth has degrees in both art education and studio art. She has been teaching art in Indiana public schools and through private workshops for the last 13 years. In addition to teaching, Burnworth loves to create all things paper. Her collage, paintings and paper sculpture celebrate creativity and design, bringing together a love for texture, color, nature and the beauty of everyday life. Burnworth resides in Indiana, where she has shown her work both regionally and nationally. The 3rd On 3rd Gallery is also accepting works of art for an upcoming show called “Blue Mind.” The title refers to a mildly meditative state characterized by calm, peace, unity, and a sense of general happiness and satisfaction with life in the moment.” It is brought on by time spent near, in, on, and under water. The aim of the movement is to connect (or reconnect) people to water as a means of enriching their lives on an emotional, mental, spiritual, and social level. Art work that celebrates the beauty and joy of water is encouraged to be submitted. Art may be submitted through May 5 through curatorspace.com/opportunities/detail/bluemind/3196. The 3rd on 3rd Gallery is located at 108 E. Third St. and is part of Reg Lenna Center for The Arts. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Exhibitions at the 3rd on 3rd Gallery are made possible by support from Arts Consulting Group.
