New Yoga Center Grand Opening, Open House To Be Held Saturday
A grand opening and open house at the Samsara Yoga Center will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the studio at 113 E. Second St. in Jamestown.
Yogis Karen Hansen and Kristina Benson invite the public to come and see the studio, meet the teachers, try a mini class and learn more about yoga. The studio is presently offering various classes Monday through Thursday, with a morning stretch yoga on Saturday. Classes are offered both during the day and in the evening.
“Yoga is for everyone,” Hansen said. “During the day we offer gentle yoga, beginning yoga, chair yoga with a special discount for seniors, yoga for spinal health and yoga for stress relief. During the evenings we offer beginning yoga, Hatha, gentle flow and Vinyasa Flow. Practicing yoga gives you better balance, more strength, better range of motion and more energy.”
“Yoga practitioners experience a sense of calm and peace of mind, in addition to all of the physical benefits,” Benson said. “We believe that the student is their own best teacher. You know your own body and its strengths and limitations. We provide props to assist students gain all of the benefits of yoga without pain or injury. Many of our students comment that they sleep better, have better digestion, better breath control, and that they gain relief from joint pain.”
